“I found my Cannonball at a prominent music store  in New York City.  I knew from the first few notes that this horn was for me.   I was so comfortable with the soprano that I played a concert with it the next night after I bought it.  I play a curved soprano saxophone with New Century Saxophone Quartet.  I need a horn that has a full body sound, but that can also play as sweet and light as a flute.  The “Big Bell” Global series does this and much more.  Cannonball makes the best soprano saxophone on the market.  Since New Century started using these horns, our blend, and pitch have reached a whole new level.”
Michael Stephenson, soprano saxophonist with NCSQ

“Up until Cannonball I wouldn't even consider playing a horn that was made after the 60's. My main reason for this was simple.  Most of the companies that make saxophones today mass produce them and seem more interested in quantity than quality.  For this reason many of these horns, to me, lack character.  One thing about the older horns was that most of them had character.  My Cannonball has loads of character plus a much better keyboard than any of those older horns.  You put these two things together and the results are, “the ultimate saxophone.”
—Christopher Hemingway, alto saxophonist with NCSQ

“I have played Keilwerth horns for the last 22 years and was always very satisfied with the results I got from those instruments. I have also tried everything on the market, new and old, not because I was looking for a new horn but because I wanted to keep up on what was out there.  Then I played a Cannonball.  I have to say, I never thought I would find a better horn for what I do than what I was already playing but I was wrong.  The Cannonball has no limits.  I can still play with that full rich sound that I got on my old horn but now the overtones in the sound and the flexibility I have with the Cannonball allow me take everything a step farther.  This horn plays like its alive!  The keyboard is great and my T1-S silver tenor plays from top to bottom more even than any horn I have ever played.  As my grandfather would have said,……“I’m happier than a fox in a chicken house!”  Bravo Cannonball!!!, after twenty years New Century has found a home.”
—Stephen Pollock, tenor saxophonist with NCSQ
